RGB photometric calibration of 15 million Gaia stars

چکیده

Although a catalogue of synthetic RGB magnitudes, providing photometric data for sample 1346 bright stars, has been recently published, its usefulness is still limited due to the small number reference stars available, considering that they are distributed throughout whole celestial sphere, and fact restricted Johnson V < 6.6 mag. This work presents magnitudes ~15 million brighter than Gaia G = 18 mag, making use calibration between star corresponding high quality G, G_BP G_RP provided by EDR3. The exhibiting -0.5 - 2.0 aims predict within an error interval $\pm 0.1$ Since dominated nearby with slightly undersolar metallicity, systematic variations in predictions expected, as modelled help stellar atmosphere models. These deviations constrained mag when applying only scarcely affected interstellar extinction metallicity compatible median value sample. large sources available each region sky should guarantee high-quality calibrations.

Calibrated griz Magnitudes of Tycho Stars: All-Sky Photometric Calibration Using Bright Stars

Photometric calibration to ∼5% level is frequently needed at arbitrary celestial location. However, existing all-sky astronomical catalogs do not reach this accuracy, and time consuming photometric calibration procedures are required. I fitted the HipparcosBT and V T magnitudes, along with the 2MASS J ,H, andK magnitudes of Tycho-2–catalog stars with stellar spectral templates. From the best-fi...

A Digital Photometric Survey of the Magellanic Clouds: First Results From One Million Stars

We present the first results from, and a complete description of, our ongoing UBV I digital photometric survey of the Magellanic Clouds. In particular, we discuss the photometric quality and automated reduction of a CCD survey (magnitude limits, completeness, and astrometric accuracy) that covers the central 8 × 8 of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) and 4 × 4 of the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC)...

WFPC2 Photometric Calibration

The updated absolute photometric calibration for WFPC2 yields typical uncertainties for bright sources below 2% for the photometric filter set and of about 3% for other filters between 400 and 800 nm. We present a quantitative characterization of some well-known WFPC2 non-linearities, the CTE error and the long vs. short anomaly, which allows a better estimate of their possible impact under a v...

Photometric calibration of Megacam data

Traditionally, the elixir pipeline (Magnier and Cuillandre 2004) has been using the standard stars observed by Smith et al. (2002)to establish an absolute photometric calibration scale for Megacam data. This set of standard stars is the basis of the absolute calibration of the SDSS photometric survey, and is used by Smith et al. (2002) to establish the correspondance between the (now standard) ...

Update of the Photometric Calibration of the LASCO-C2 Coronagraph Using Stars

We present an update to the photometric calibration of the LASCO-C2 coronagraph onboard the SOHO spacecraft. We obtained the new calibration using data from the beginning of the mission in 1996 until 2013. We re-examined the LASCO-C2 photometric calibration by comparing the past three calibrations and the present calibration with the goal of validating an in-flight calibration. We find a photom...
